Senior Accountant (Manufacturing) / Bookkeeping Administrator

About the Company and Position:
Nett Technologies Inc. is a global industrial manufacturer seeking an experienced, dynamic, hands-on financial professional with a strong background in both manufacturing operations and bookkeeping. We are looking for an individual with the ability to manage senior accounting responsibilities while performing routine bookkeeping and providing support to the HR function.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, monitoring company-wide financial performance, and participating in strategic financial planning. In addition, the candidate will engage in day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and HR administrative duties, including benefits management and maintaining employee records.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

  • Lead the development and achievement of financial goals, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategic plan
  • Oversee all general accounting and bookkeeping activities, including maintaining accurate financial records
  • Implement and manage the company's ERP system, ensuring efficiency in financial reporting and bookkeeping processes
  • Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly gross margin reports
  • Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliation
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting that supports a culture of accountability and transparency
  • Assist with the preparation of operational budgets and forecasts
  • Coordinate and manage annual audits, including the preparation of financial statements

HR & Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including managing group benefits programs, RRSP contributions, and WSIB filings
  • Assist with maintaining employee records and supporting onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures while providing support for payroll and employee benefits

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a finance or related field
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software, including ERP systems
  • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Experience with bookkeeping, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insightful reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

 

Additional Preferred Competencies:

  • Professional accounting designation (CA/CGA/CMA) or in the final stages of obtaining one
  • Familiarity with HR processes and experience administering benefits and payroll
